Production Output
In December, China's combined output of power and other batteries reached 77.7 GWh, down 11.4% month-on-month and up 48.1% year-on-year.
From January to December, cumulative output reached 778.1 GWh, up 42.5% year-on-year.
Sales Volume
In December, total sales of power and other batteries reached 90.1 GWh, up 7.1% month-on-month. Power battery sales were 72.1 GWh (80.0% of the total), up 5.9% month-on-month and 38.2% year-on-year; other battery sales were 18.0 GWh (20.0%), up 12.5% month-on-month.
From January to December, cumulative sales reached 729.7 GWh — power batteries 616.3 GWh (84.5%, up 32.4% year-on-year) and other batteries 113.4 GWh (15.5%).
In December, combined exports of power and other batteries reached 19.4 GWh, up 8.5% month-on-month, accounting for 21.6% of monthly sales. Power battery exports were 13.9 GWh (71.6%, up 7.0% month-on-month and 48.4% year-on-year); other battery exports were 5.5 GWh (28.4%, up 12.6% month-on-month).
From January to December, cumulative exports reached 152.6 GWh, accounting for 20.9% of the total sales over the first 12 months. Power battery cumulative exports were 127.4 GWh (83.5%, up 87.1% year-on-year); other battery cumulative exports were 25.2 GWh (16.5%).
Vehicle Installation Volume
In December, 47.9 GWh of power batteries were installed in vehicles, up 32.6% year-on-year and 6.8% month-on-month. NMC (ternary) batteries accounted for 16.6 GWh (34.5% of the total, +44.9% YoY, +5.3% MoM), while LFP batteries reached 31.3 GWh (65.3%, +26.8% YoY, +7.5% MoM).
From January to December, cumulative installations reached 387.7 GWh, up 31.6% year-on-year — NMC batteries 126.2 GWh (32.6%, +14.3% YoY) and LFP batteries 261.0 GWh (67.3%, +42.1% YoY).
In December, 43 power battery enterprises supplied installation matching for China's NEV market, 2 more than the same period last year. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 enterprises installed 35.4 GWh, 39.6 GWh and 45.5 GWh respectively, accounting for 73.8%, 82.6% and 94.8% of total installations.
From January to December, 52 enterprises supplied installation matching, 5 fewer than last year. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 installed 305.5 GWh, 338.6 GWh and 375.3 GWh, accounting for 78.8%, 87.4% and 96.8% respectively.
