Production Output
In September, the combined output of power and energy storage batteries in China reached 77.4 GWh, up 5.6% month-on-month and 37.4% year-on-year. Power batteries accounted for approximately 90.3% of the total output.
From January to September, the cumulative output reached 533.7 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 44.9%, with power batteries accounting for about 92.1%.
Sales Volume
In September, total sales of power and energy storage batteries stood at 71.6 GWh, up 10.1% month-on-month. Power battery sales reached 60.1 GWh (84.0% of the total), up 9.2% month-on-month and 29.3% year-on-year; energy storage battery sales hit 11.5 GWh (16.0%), up 15.0% month-on-month.
From January to September, cumulative sales reached 482.6 GWh — power batteries 425.0 GWh (88.0%, up 15.7% year-on-year) and energy storage batteries 57.6 GWh (12.0%).
Exports
In September, total exports of power and energy storage batteries reached 13.3 GWh — power batteries 11.0 GWh (82.9%, up 3.8% month-on-month and 50.5% year-on-year) and energy storage batteries 2.3 GWh (17.1%, up 23.3% month-on-month).
From January to September, cumulative exports reached 101.2 GWh — power batteries 89.8 GWh (88.7%, up 120.4% year-on-year) and energy storage batteries 11.4 GWh (11.3%).
Vehicle Installation Volume
In September, 36.4 GWh of power batteries were installed in vehicles, up 15.1% year-on-year and 4.4% month-on-month. NMC (ternary) batteries accounted for 12.2 GWh (33.6%, +9.1% YoY, +13.2% MoM), while LFP batteries reached 24.2 GWh (66.4%, +18.6% YoY, +0.6% MoM).
From January to September, cumulative installations reached 255.7 GWh, up 32.0% year-on-year — NMC batteries 81.6 GWh (31.9%, +5.7% YoY) and LFP batteries 173.8 GWh (68.0%, +49.4% YoY).

In September, 33 power battery enterprises supplied installation matching for China's NEV market, 3 fewer than the same period last year. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 enterprises installed 27.8 GWh, 31.2 GWh and 35.5 GWh respectively, accounting for 76.5%, 85.6% and 97.5% of total installations.
From January to September, 49 enterprises supplied installation matching, 1 more than last year. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 installed 206.1 GWh, 227.1 GWh and 249.2 GWh, accounting for 80.6%, 88.8% and 97.5% respectively.
