Heinxs Proximity Sensor Mechanical Linkage Position Detection Case
Project Background
The customer is a large pharmaceutical packaging machinery manufacturer. Pharmaceuticals are special goods related to people's life and health, so the pharmaceutical industry requires sterile environments and fully automatic packaging.
Project Objectives
In high-speed automated packaging machines, after the double aluminum foil sealing of tablets, it is necessary to quickly detect missing or leaking tablets and remove them in time.
Project Challenges
1. The pharmaceutical packaging machine is a high-speed system, so the sensor must detect quickly and output signals in time — a challenge;
2. The packaging uses opaque materials such as aluminum foil and poly film, blocking the tablets, making it impossible to visually detect leaking or missing tablets;
3. The installation space on the machine is very narrow, and the customer requires an aesthetically pleasing appearance — a difficulty;
4. The customer requires cost control while ensuring quality and service life.
Solution
Heinxs GT05 series inductive proximity sensors detect the presence of tablets in aluminum foil bags through mechanical linkages; inductive proximity sensors can detect metal materials such as iron, copper and aluminum; the 5 mm diameter is suitable for narrow spaces, with a response time of 0.5 µs — once a missing tablet is detected, a signal is output immediately. The GT05 series uses stainless steel material, IP67 protection rating, non-contact detection and a long service life.
Customer Feedback
The Heinxs GT05 series features durable materials, beautiful installation, professional service, and can completely replace imported products; the customer is now gradually replacing all line machinery with Heinxs sensors.
